Heat Shrinkable Fabric Sleeving (also known as Heat Shrinkable Woven Sleeving) is engineered by weaving a hybrid combination of polyolefin monofilaments and heat-shrinkable polyester multifilaments. When heated, the sleeve shrinks radially in a 2:1 ratio, tightly conforming to smooth, curved, or irregular hoses and cable bundles while delivering outstanding mechanical abrasion resistance and noise/vibration damping (NVH).

3. Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1 Size Selection:

◦ Choose a sleeve inner diameter (ID) before shrinkage that easily slides over the target hose/cable (including fittings).

◦ Ensure the fully recovered (shrunk) ID is smaller than the outer diameter of the hose/cable to guarantee a tight, anti-slip fit.

2 Cutting to Length:

◦ Cut the sleeving to length using a hot knife cutter or sharp scissors.

◦ Note: Unlike standard plastic heat shrink tubing, heat shrink fabric experiences minimal longitudinal contraction (typically < 5%).

3 Positioning:

◦ Slide the sleeve over the hose or cable assembly and position it directly over the designated friction or wear zone.

4 Heat Shrinking Process:

◦ Use an industrial heat gun (recommended temperature setting: 120°C–150°C), heat tunnel, or oven.

◦ Begin heating from the center and move outward toward both ends (or from one end continuously to the other) to prevent trapping air pockets.

◦ Heat evenly until the fabric sleeve completely contracts and tightly conforms to the contours of the target object.
